Activities may include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>searching for dolphins and whales<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>recording sightings and environmental conditions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>learning cetacean observation techniques<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>photo-identification of individual animals<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>assisting with data collection and mapping<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Depending on the season and sea conditions, species may include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>bottlenose dolphins<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>striped dolphins<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>common dolphins<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>pilot whales<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>sperm whales<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>seasonal orcas<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\">Land-Based Survey \u2013 1 Day per Week<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Volunteers help monitor marine life from coastal observation points around the Strait region and Mediterranean coast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Activities include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>scanning for cetaceans<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>recording marine traffic and environmental conditions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>helping map local biodiversity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>learning field observation methods<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\">Conservation &amp; Community Activities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Additional activities may include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>beach cleanups<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>environmental awareness actions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>helping local NGOs supporting street cats and other street animals<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>assisting with feeding and care activities for rescued animals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center has-large-font-size\" style=\"text-transform:uppercase\">Accommodation &amp; Support<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The program includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>shared accommodation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>airport pickup<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>orientation and field training<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>support from the research team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center has-large-font-size\" style=\"text-transform:uppercase\">Duration &amp; Cost<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Minimum stay: 2 weeks<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Program contribution: 500 EUR per week<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The contribution helps support:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>research activities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>boat operations and fuel<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>conservation work<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>accommodation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>local partnerships and logistics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center has-large-font-size\" style=\"text-transform:uppercase\">Who Can Join?<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Open to anyone aged 18+ interested in:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>marine biology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>cetaceans<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>conservation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>environmental volunteering<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ocean research<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No previous experience is required.
