MEXICO: A SEASONAL HOME FOR HUMPBACK WHALES<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Pacific coast of Mexico is one of the world’s great marine migration routes. Each winter, the warm waters of Banderas Bay and the surrounding coastline become a refuge for humpback whales arriving from distant northern feeding grounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every winter, thousands of humpback whales<\/strong> migrate to the warm waters of Banderas Bay<\/strong> to breed, give birth, and raise their calves before returning north. It is one of the most spectacular whale migrations on Earth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the WWP, Mexico offers the opportunity to combine responsible whale watching with scientific research<\/strong> in a region of exceptional marine biodiversity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While humpback whales are the stars of the winter season, these waters are also home to several dolphin species, including bottlenose, spinner, common, and pantropical spotted dolphins, making every trip a chance to discover the incredible diversity of the Pacific Ocean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every encounter at sea is an opportunity to learn, inspire, and contribute to marine conservation<\/strong>\u2014helping us better understand and protect these remarkable animals for generations to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MORE THAN WHALE WATCHING<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For us, every trip is an opportunity to contribute to science. By photographing the unique patterns on humpback whales’ tail flukes and recording their behaviour, we can help identify individual whales and better understand their movements and population over time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also believe that visitors can play an active role in conservation. By sharing these incredible encounters and the science behind them, we hope to inspire a deeper appreciation for the ocean and the need to protect it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
